Christmas Eve

Here are a random assortment of pictures from our Christmas Eve. My mom and dad came over for dinner and brought the kids' presents. We also sang "Happy Birthday" to Jesus, ate His cake and went to church. Miss E barely made it to church and ended up sleeping through the entire service. Mr J fought the good fight and stayed awake. Once we got home he put out a cookie and some milk for Santa and 13 carrots on the front porch for his reindeer. When asked why 9 (the original 8 plus Rudolph) reindeer needed 13 carrots, he replied that some might like more than one. Because... obviously!! He was right- by morning, every last one of the carrots were gone! ;)

Gingerbread House

After we finished our Christmas cookies, we made our annual gingerbread house. I really love doing this, even though we never bother to eat it. The icing bag exploded pretty early on and I had to use my fingers to smear the icing. It was messy, but very sweet. Did you notice Santa and the present at the front door?

Cookie Time

We had so much fun decorating our Christmas cookies! I was surprised just how artistic Daddy was; he took the task quite seriously. We all were anxious to taste the fruits of our labors. Of course we thought the the "Tool" cookie was hilarious since we are the Silly Willies. ;)

Here are some pictures from our Christmas shoot this morning. Miss E was not at all into the session and I have very few good ones of her. J was an awesome model and I have lots of great pics of him. Hopefully E will be in a better mood tomorrow...

Future Astronaut

J went on Space Mountain for the first time the other day. We were nervous whether that was too much for a 5-year-old but he wanted to ride it. I stayed outside with Miss E while he and Daddy rode the coaster. When he got off he was so excited about his trip. He really thinks that he went into outer space! He was telling me about the Milky Way, other space ships and the fact that he saw Cinderella's castle but it was "just a tiny dot because I was up so high." He asked me if I saw his space ship going up and coming down. I do not have the heart to explain that it was just a ride... he will figure that out on his own in good time. After he heard me laughing about E's video he wanted to make his own and talk about his space explorations. As far as J is concerned, it really is the Magic Kingdom!

What I Sing About?

Miss E was so excited to make a video singing the alphabet. Unfortunately, she forgot just what she was singing after the letter C. She is so funny! Daddy blames it on the fact that she is a natural blonde. I am constantly looking for my cell phone and/or car keys so I can relate to her forgetfulness.

It made me laugh out loud so I thought that I would share this with you all.

Thanksgiving

Without a camera of my very own, these are some Thanksgiving day pictures from my sister's camera...

1. Mom and the girls are checking out desserts- not that Miss E ate anything. Both of my kiddos had a stomach bug last week which was quite gross.

2. I am modeling Rach's new shoes which made me well over six feet tall -- to put this in perspective, my mom is 5'6" tall. Can you say, "Amazon woman?" ha ha

3. Me and little miss being silly- we can't help it.... we really can't.

I ate so much at lunch that I never bothered with dinner or dessert- that has to be a first for me! I love Thanksgiving!!!! Last week I was most thankful for my carpet cleaner, NyQuil PM, and my husband -who cleaned his fair share of puke/sick kids! I love you, K!!!

By the way, I have finally ordered a new camera and hope to have it by this weekend so I can resume posting everyday randomness.

November News

My camera is dead and I have not bought a new one just yet- I'm waiting to score a great deal next week. That is why there are no pictures to show. Sorry! Hopefully I'll be posting again soon. Until then, here are some updates about the kiddos:

Miss E likes to put on one of her sun hats, throw up one arm and scream, "I'm Dora Cowgirl! YeeHaw!" Her other go-to outfit is her toddler dress-up heals with socks (oh, yes she does) a backwards crown upon her head and a wand in her hand- this makes her "a true princess." Either way, she goes around the house singing a made up song at the top of her lungs. She is so funny.

Mr. J is becoming obsessed with the moon and the planets. He was all upset that Pluto is no longer a planet. I'm not sure if he is mad about the fact that scientists were originally wrong about it OR that it is no longer a planet. He also likes to talk about the phases of the moon and what each one means. I see a solar system art project in the making. ;)

Halloween

So my camera decided to die the night of mom's Halloween party. Perfect, hunh? These pictures are courtesy of my mom, Ape and Amy~ thank you! Miss E was Snow White and Mr. J was Darth Vader. Miss E picked out a disguise as her prize from a game- isn't she cute? J is posing in the tree with his best cowboy buddy. Daddy and I both took turns cutting up the pumpkin that was already rotting- ugh!!! I did roast the seeds, but getting the shells off was just too much work for so little reward. Lastly, we have our princess (the wig did not last very long) with her crown. I hope to put up some trick-or-treating pictures soon.

My Little Pumpkins

We went to the local pumpkin patch tonight. The kiddos were decked out in their Halloween shirts and were super excited. We had to walk around and look at all of them before we made the big decision. I'm not sure what's so funny in the first picture, but J is cracking up. In the second one he is showing how displeased he is to pose and hold hands *GASP!* with his little sister. In the third one he is cheesing it up with Charlie Brown and Snoopy. There is a picture of me just to prove that I actually went somewhere. The last one just amuses me so much- Daddy doesn't care, J is trying to eat his and E is starstruck. I think we'll carve him up on Saturday.
