Em's 7th Birthday Party

My niece, Em, turned 7 this week and had her birthday party yesterday. I love her toothless smile! She could not make up her mind about what kind of party she wanted; along the way it was going to be Hello Kitty, Barbie, Superman and it ended up being High School Musical. While we were there, she decided to take down the Disney Princess posters on her wall since she now has a Jonas Brothers one. Where has the time gone?

Father's Day Recap

J made his hand print for Daddy as a Father's Day present. I am surprised that he did not tell him about it. We were driving home from church the week before Father's Day when this conversation occured:

J: Is that your garage key? (referring to the garage door opener)

Daddy, being silly: No, I am not special, I do not have one.

J: Yes you do, Mommy bought you one at Home Depot.

Thanks, J! We still wrapped it up and gave it to him on Father's Day. J and I made Daddy a jello cake and I told J ahead of time not to tell Daddy about it. We were in the kitchen and daddy asked what we were doing. I looked at J and as he was dragging a chair to the counter to help, he said "making you a cake." It may be a few years before he understands secrets. Until then, it is pretty cute... as long as he does not spill any big secrets. :)

Please don't ask, I don't know why J looks so miserable in the picture.

In the picture of the card, there is the "mystery" I blogged about a few days ago. I had to help him make the heart and correct the "H" in his name, but the rest are his own doing.

The Cone Zone

J wanted ice cream cones- fudge dipped ice cream cones. If J wants something, no doubt that E wants it, too. So, I was feeling a little nutty the other afternoon and gave them each an ice cream cone. I could not resist taking a few photos of these messy little monkeys. As you can see, she loved it so much that she kept throwing her head back, relishing the sheer bliss of it all. Of course, J played it cool, but I know that he was diggin' it. I hope that they remember how fun mommy was!

Happy Father's Day

J made his hand print for Daddy and is pretty excited to give it to him. He is also really into question marks, he calls them "mysteries." I think it is so cute. He put a "mystery" on a get well card to his Papa last week and thought that it was hilarious. So, when we were making Daddy's Father's Day card and I asked what we should put on it, yep- a "mystery." He was so proud!

Oh, no!

This is one of E's favorite things to say and it is so very appropriate for our lives right now. I usually only blog about happy/fun things, but I am compelled to share some sad news. We found out Tuesday that Kris will have to undergo another surgery since his brain tumor has grown. We knew that something was wrong, but were hoping for better news. At this time, we have not scheduled a date. If you are reading this, please say a prayer for us. Thank you!

Rainforest Cafe

We ate dinner at the Rainforest Cafe in Downtown Disney. Rach enjoyed her pizza and J is showing off his cute little dinosaur chicken nugget. Miss E is kissing on MyMy and she ate just about everything. It is such a neat place to eat, I hope that they enjoyed it as much as I did. Afterwards, we went to Goofy's Candy Company and I got the best cupcake... YUM! The kiddos helped me eat it when we got back to our hotel room.

'Ohana Breakfast

We had lots of fun at our breakfast with Lilo, Stitch, Mickey Mouse and Pluto at Disney's Polynesian Hotel. E loved the characters, as usual- as you can see, she did go after the Mouse's nose. J has a crazy expression on his face, which I just love. My little guy even joined in the parade, shaking his maraca. My mom looks like she is up to something, doesn't she? Rach & Em were enjoying breakfast until Stitch came up; he was a real prankster! I had fun posing with Lilo and showing off my lei.
