Wish List

J and I were in Walgreens the other day and he spotted the Christmas aisle. Of course he wanted to touch everything. I was in a bit of a hurry and needed several things so I told him that I would let him walk down it when I was done shopping. As we went down, he proceeded to tell me that he wanted everything~ the singing stuffed animals, Christmas candy, stocking stuffers, stickers, etc. I told him that he can put whatever he wanted on his list for Santa. As we walked, I guess his mind was pondering just how to describe all of the things he saw. Finally, he said, "Mama, do you think that Santa will know what I mean if I just write 'Walgreens?'"

Butterfly Fun

We took the nuggets to visit the Shady Oak Butterfly Farm (http://butterfliesetc.com/index.php) yesterday. We had so much fun learning about their life cycle and playing with them. As soon as E walked into the area, she threw her hands up to catch this butterfly.

Oops, we found a large tree frog that had to be relocated. Not good for the butterflies when a predator is "locked in the pantry!"

We had a wonderful time on our tour~ thank you, Steve and Edith (and Char!) we can't wait to go back.

The Green-Eyed Monster...

... came to my house. No, I am not talking about a Halloween goblin. I am talking about jealousy. My cousin, Mel, came to visit with her 2 little ones. Her baby girl, S, is 10 months-old and really took to K. Another baby loving on her Daddy did not sit well with E. When E saw that Daddy was holding (and kissing on!) the baby, she flew across the living room and said "Daddy MINE!" and grabbed his legs. It was pitiful and hilarious at the same time.

It is just a tiny bit painful that she was perfectly fine with me holding the baby and kissing on her. In fact, she came up and kissed her with me. I am telling myself it is because I was sitting on the floor where E could reach us and Daddy was standing. But, the truth hurts and she is most definitely a Daddy's Girl.

Trick-or-Treat Time

We took the nuggets and my niece trick-or-treating. We had a vampire, a bride and Luke Skywalker. We did about half of my neighborhood before they were done. Once home, we scoured the goody bags for our favorite treats. Happy Halloween!!!

ap-PEAR-itions

I had fun coming up with that title! We made pear ghosts with white chocolate coating and chocolate chip eyes. And yes, the kiddos liked eating them better than making them.

Birthday Boy

Welcome to 32, Daddy! Our friends, Steve and Edith, came over and brought him a special carrot cake since that is his favorite.

J's card for Daddy~ a little heavy on the Halloween, but you know where a 4 year-old mind is on 10/30.

His birthday present from the rest of Team Williams. Mind you, all he can do is look at it until the doctor clears him, but he likes what he sees. :) I hope that you had a wonderful birthday, K!!!!!

Some Real Characters

We had a Halloween party at my mom's house for the kiddos last weekend. After dinner, we had a relay race, bean bag toss, pin the nose on the pumpkin game, and a cupcake walk. Once it got dark, they were able to go through the lighted maze in her backyard to find their goody bags. We roasted marshmallows to cap the night.

Even Miss E (Cinderella, mind you) got her very own bag.

All in all, I think that everyone had a fun time. Now... to start planning for next year!

Pumpkin Pickin'

We took the nuggets to the pumpkin patch the other day and here are some photos of the 4 of us... now all we have to do is carve them up!

K's Harem

K had his surgery 2 weeks ago and these are some pictures from the pre-op room. Here he is with my GranCoo, his Nanny and his cousin Amy.

The surgery itself was very scary and stressful, we were so happy and grateful that all of these wonderful women came down and graced us with their presence. Thank you all from the bottom of our hearts!!! We love you more than you know.

J's advice

J was giving us some good life tips that I thought I would share:

* don't play with fire
* don't talk to strangers
* stay away from leprechauns
* don't sit on a hot slide
* don't touch ovens
* when your house is on fire- call 911 and crawl down to the floor
* don't touch "knife-ez"

I personally love the bit about the leprechauns. :)
