Easter Morning

The kids were very excited to see that the Easter Bunny came!  For some reason there was a lot of fear that he was going to miss our house this year.

After baskets & an indoor egg hunt at home, we went to church for breakfast and another egg hunt. Believe it or not, J was wearing Daddy's Easter suit from 1984 (I think.)  Nanny saved it all these years and brought it down to us.

Daddy's shirt is about the same color as the sky- it was a gorgeous Easter morning!

The most important part of any egg hunt- checking your loot.  Oh man, we have so much candy in this house it is not even funny.  It is a very good thing that mama does not have gestational diabetes.

An Egg-cellent Time

Daddy and the little people colored eggs on Saturday night. J was too big to use stickers so he stuck with the Star Wars kit exclusively. 

E was not too big for stickers and she used up every single one.

At some point after this, the boys mastered creating a pretty purple color.

I think that they had fun and now I have to figure out what to do with all of these boiled eggs!!!

Cookie Time

We decided to make a BIG batch of cookies for our church's Easter breakfast and for our family.  This is always a lot of work and takes many hours.  I try to let the kids do as much as possible without becoming too much of a control freak.  I don't know that I always succeed in this, but I do try and make it fun for them.  We all know that the best part is eating them!!

Ape's Annual Egg Hunt

We went to Ape's house last week for her annual egg hunt.  Here are two of our J's in motion.

The group that would pose for us- sadly some are getting "too old."  It is bittersweet to see our kids growing up.  At least the girls were totally into posing.  :)

A New Bike

On his actual birthday, Daddy and I gave J his presents from us.  One of which was a new bike!  We decided to take it out for a spin in our neighborhood.

                                              

Along the way, we had to stop and feed the ducks and fish in the front pond.  It seems that the fish were WAY more into it than the ducks.  Now we know, fish like stale Cheerios!

Birthday Boy

J wanted a giant chocolate chip cookie for his birthday again this year.  This cookie was HUGE- we ate on it for many days afterwards.  What a shame.  haha!  He wanted to have a Mario party this year. All the food was named after Mario characters: Princess Peach's Pizza, Toad's Tiny Tacos, Daisy's Fruit Dippers, Donkey Kong Dip, Koopa's Cookie, etc. He even helped me make the food place cards.

So funny, the boys were all gathered together on one chair watching J play on his DS.  I think that  video games must be in boys' DNA. 

Daddy led the games and here he is leading a game of hot potato with a Mario figure.  J also helped me choose the games ahead of time; he was very hands-on with the party planning.

Opening some presents- he was very excited to get such great gifts from his friends and even some cold hard cash.  What loot!!

Catty Shack

The kiddos and I went to the Catty Shack Ranch to visit some big cats today.  I can't believe how close we were to these amazing animals.  The tiger cubs were adorable, we enjoyed watching them play.  We learned a lot and had a blast.  We will definitely be going back!

Legoland

We took the kiddos to Legoland last week with our homeschool group.  J is a coaster fanatic and E is not.  It was nice because there were many things for both of them to do.

Downtown Disney

We went to Downtown Disney the night before Legoland and naturally had to do some posing.  The kiddos with the Winnie the Pooh gang and Daddy had to show us his best Dr. Doofenschmirtz impression- I think he nailed it!!  If his face is any indication, J does too.

Gender-reveal Cake

Team Williams celebrated Valentine's Day by finding out if our newest member is a he or a she.  Let me just say that I was WRONG!!!  We are having a boy!!!  No doubt about it, Ape made us a delicious blue cake.  Only J guessed right.

A giant thanks to Ape & Kelly for ensuring that the reveal was a complete surprise.  It was definitely a Valentine's Day that I will never ever forget.
